Dear Patients and Friends,
For more than 40 years, it has been my privilege to care for you and your families. The relationships, trust, and friendships we have built together over the years mean more to me than words can express.
As I prepare for the next chapter of my life, one of the most important decisions I have faced has been choosing the right person to continue the tradition of care that has defined Squan Family Dentistry.
I am incredibly excited to introduce you to Dr. Sunny Konda.
After meeting many dentists over the years and getting to know Dr. Sunny both personally and professionally, I am completely confident that I have found the right person to carry Squan Family Dentistry into the future. From the beginning, Dr. Sunny and I quickly discovered that we share the same philosophy of dentistry: taking the time to truly listen to our patients, providing conservative and thoughtful treatment recommendations, and treating every person who walks through our doors with kindness, honesty, and respect.
That shared philosophy is what gave me the confidence to make this decision.
Even more importantly, our entire team has warmly welcomed Dr. Sunny and shares my confidence in him. You will continue to see the same familiar faces, experience the same personalized care, and receive the same commitment to putting our patients first that you have come to expect from Squan Family Dentistry.
Meet Dr. Sunny
Dr. Sunny is a graduate of Touro College of Dental Medicine in New York, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Dr. Sunny is committed to comprehensive, patient-centered dentistry with a gentle and conservative approach. He has pursued extensive continuing education, including advanced implant training at the Colorado Surgical Institute, and was honored with the prestigious Smigel Scholarship to attend the American Society for Dental Aesthetics Annual Conference in 2024. What impressed me most about Dr. Sunny, however, goes beyond his education and training. He genuinely cares about his patients, takes the time to listen, and is committed to doing what is best for each individual person. Those are the qualities I have always believed matter most in a dentist—and the qualities I know our patients will appreciate.
Originally from a small coastal town in California, Dr. Sunny understands the unique character and sense of community that come with growing up by the ocean. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his fiancée, Dr. Mansi Patel, a Jersey native, and riding his old Honda motorcycle down the Jersey Coast. He is looking forward to becoming an active part of the Manasquan community and, most importantly, getting to know you and your families.
I could not be more excited about what this next chapter holds for Squan Family Dentistry, and I am proud to have Dr. Sunny carry our practice forward starting September 14th 2026.
